Eleanor Roosevelt did say it, but turns out she wasn't the first. Probably originated from the English historian, Henry Thomas Buckle in 1901, and was then pruned and simplified by others over the following 3 decades, which essentially gave us the version Eleanor Roosevelt used.

I call this, "the eBay effect"

"Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people."

Be nice to EVERYONE, because they're going to lose their parents, their friends, their money, and everything else in this world that means anything to them; just like you.

I think it depends on the site. For example, Yelp reviewers are really prolific. They tend to review everything good and bad. Something like 80% of the reviews on the site are positive. So I wouldn't discount the negative ones as much there as I would on NewEgg or Amazon.

It would have been a more efficient means to an end, but this is one of those things where the process is just as much the art as the resulting product. Like, a canvas with randomly splattered paint. Upon first glance you go "but my kid could have done that". Sure, your kid could come up with the same result, but this

2008 is fine and dandy, but they didn't get the 120hz mark until just this past year, which is why the sudden surge in popularity. They make their monitors just as much as Apple makes their Thunderbolt Display. They both get the same panels. The difference is Apple connects them to a mic and cam and usb hub etc, while

Thanks :-)

LOL! Thank you- this made me laugh. :-)

Nope- it's just like my last iMac workstation screen and is otherwise perfect. It's good enough for most games, including first person shooters. Really fast games though and you really notice the slow pixel response time

Male perspective here- I'd like to point out that some of this appears to be woman driven. Sure, inspired by what men like at some level, but enjoyed by the women even more so. I mean, at most offices I've worked at, both male and female managers have had to ask the ladies to dress more modestly. Some of the females I

If you work in digital or print media, accurate color reproduction is *not* optional. Saying $450 is too expensive for a small monitor is like saying $450,000 is too expensive for a small condo without taking into consideration the build, finish, and location of either.

OH SNAP

I read they did tests with a high speed camera to verify that it is in fact true 120hz. Some of the models sold on ebay as being 120hz were not in fact 120hz capable. They accepted a 120hz signal, but dropped the extra frames. Only the models from 120hz.net, which are custom ordered, are capable of displaying more

Only a specific model which is only available from a single reseller is capable of overclocking to 120hz. See 120hz.net for all the info

The Yamasaki and variants that are not multi-input have much lower lag than the others, but the grey to grey they market is a lie. It's supposedly the same as the Dell it replaced but it's waaaaaay slower. Some games I can't even play now because it all becomes a blurry mess. Not sure what you mean by "choppy feel".

I have a Catleap variant (Crossover, which is supposedly a notch above Catleap) and while the picture quality is as good as the Thunderbolt display (it's the exact same hardware... minus features like speakers, mic, cam, etc) the issue with both is the grey-to-grey reponse time is just way too slow... way slower than

What I mean is, you can create a candy-cane tasting flavor enhancer without that much sugar, and with a lot less work, less mess, and with fewer preservatives, dyes, and whatever else goes into commercial candy canes. It's just all too much. Personally I couldn't have that much sugar without breaking out and getting
