I read they did tests with a high speed camera to verify that it is in fact true 120hz. Some of the models sold on ebay as being 120hz were not in fact 120hz capable. They accepted a 120hz signal, but dropped the extra frames. Only the models from 120hz.net, which are custom ordered, are capable of displaying more…
Only a specific model which is only available from a single reseller is capable of overclocking to 120hz. See 120hz.net for all the info
The Yamasaki and variants that are not multi-input have much lower lag than the others, but the grey to grey they market is a lie. It's supposedly the same as the Dell it replaced but it's waaaaaay slower. Some games I can't even play now because it all becomes a blurry mess. Not sure what you mean by "choppy feel".…
I have a Catleap variant (Crossover, which is supposedly a notch above Catleap) and while the picture quality is as good as the Thunderbolt display (it's the exact same hardware... minus features like speakers, mic, cam, etc) the issue with both is the grey-to-grey reponse time is just way too slow... way slower than…
What I mean is, you can create a candy-cane tasting flavor enhancer without that much sugar, and with a lot less work, less mess, and with fewer preservatives, dyes, and whatever else goes into commercial candy canes. It's just all too much. Personally I couldn't have that much sugar without breaking out and getting…

Ewwww... Sorry, but this seems really nasty... candy canes are already like 90% sugar (literally). I guess it would be a fun and novel thing for young kids to do... you could turn it into a lesson about solutions/solvents. But really, this is just too much... How bout some peppermint extract instead?
Oh, good to know! Sometimes I Facetime with a penpal in another country and help with computer issues, so I actually might end up using this tip. Thanks :-)
It doesn't mean your husband didn't come off as pretentious to the customer. Half of working in the service industry is making sure people read you a certain way, even when it's not the way you really feel. If he was new to the industry, he's bound to have a few missteps. You know nobody is perfect, and that applies…
He's part of the service industry. Unfortunately, that's the cost of working in it. Your JOB is to be happy and submissive and helpful and courteous and professional etc etc etc. That's what you're getting paid for. That's the actual job!
That's what the FF concert did- a few people that travel about but local groups doing the bulk of the playing.
I can run most typical Windows and Linux applications at native speeds in virtualization on my souped up Mac. For graphic intensive games that are Windows-only, I simply reboot into Windows. It only takes like 30 seconds.
Ha! I'm also a Google Desktop holdout. At least at the office. My office system is archaic and the built in Windows Search is unusably slow. I'm dependent on that double Cmd
Then you'll be happy to know I collected him in a cup and returned him to the sandy beach :-)
A lot of people REALLY like it. I tried it but found I wasn't using the extra features so I just went back to Spotlight. Based on the raves of their core users you may likely come away with a different experience.
That's exactly what I do- creative suite, iwork, browser, email, evernote, and text editor. Anything else gets the cmd+space treatment. I got HyperDock and LOVE it. Have you tried it? I hate using a mac without it now. Kinda dependent.
I'm terrified of bed bugs, but then again I live in Boston where they are experiencing a resurgence. The NPR coverage of crying homeowners doesn't help. Now I pack my clothes in bundles by day and put them in big zip lock bags. This way I can leave my suitcase in the trunk of the car and just grab the day's bag of…
Spotlight in OS X does a lot of this, but I don't know any Mac users other than myself who use it for anything more than finding documents. They still go to their dock to launch apps or to a calculator widget, even though it's much faster to press Command+Space to do those tasks.
I, along with a number of friends, go to a potluck Thanksgiving at a UU church. Everyone makes one dish. So much easier. And lots of different people to mingle with. They're a pretty funny bunch too.
