There is no scientific evidence that increased trans advocacy would prevent the erosion of gay rights, so I’m not sure where you think scientific evidence comes into that at all.

I don’t disagree with the idea that separating sports by sex largely makes sense, and I’m not a fan of hyper categorization either.

Chromosomes can’t be changed, at least not yet. So using that as a baseline is generally a strong case, with the exception of a tiny population of people who have what arguably amount to chromosomal disorders.
