It’s not the heteronormative definition of infertility. It’s biology. They aren’t infertile. That is by definition and reality true.

Self inducing an abortion isn’t a “pregnancy outcome” that’s a choice. Also, advising people to not seek medical assistance is a pretty crazy stance to take.

Yeah I know. And Smollett is just the kind of self absorbed, morally bankrupt, selfish person to flip to supporting right wing conspiracy nonsense for money that the right loves. It’s the same trajectory Candace Owens followed.

Twitter imploding would be a great thing for the world. If Elon actually caused that to happen I’d say it would make him an accidental hero.

I’m just waiting for this guy to go the way of every other media figure who got beat up by the left and become a spokesperson for right wing media. The guy will never get another acting job again so he’ll probably go the Candace Owens route and lean hard into conservative conspiracy as a new career. It wouldn’t

There is no scientific evidence that increased trans advocacy would prevent the erosion of gay rights, so I’m not sure where you think scientific evidence comes into that at all.

You could easily argue the other way and say that the push for trans rights is what is eroding general gay rights.

There are a number of problems with that, especially for transphobes. For one thing, as this article notes the biological/anatomical/hormonal aspects can be changed”

I don’t disagree with the idea that separating sports by sex largely makes sense, and I’m not a fan of hyper categorization either.

Chromosomes can’t be changed, at least not yet. So using that as a baseline is generally a strong case, with the exception of a tiny population of people who have what arguably amount to chromosomal disorders. That may not be the most politically correct way of putting it, but it is objectively accurate.

There are several way sports can be separated to try and make them more fair. You could do it by general stack rankings, or weight classes, or a whole bunch of other metrics that would be just as meaningful as by gender or biological sex. Since other options exist, that could potentially be more fair there are

The bathroom issue is so stupid. It doesn’t have any reasonable basis for being a sticking point. It’s just a made up issue to stoke up the conservative base.

It’s not odd given the current discourse on trans issues is falling mostly along the lines of fairness in sports and no one is suggesting that trans men have an advantage over biologically born men in sports.

But it’s not actually possible according to a lot of people. There are tons of people who would say that simply asking that question makes you transphobic, even if it’s asked in good faith. I’ve seen it plenty of times here.

The headline for this really is clickbait nonsense. One reality show that features big girls dancing isn’t an industry shift, it’s one show. There’s nothing to show that it’s even being heavily watched. There’s also nothing to show if the people watching it are watching to laugh at it, which is entirely possible.

The only reason the question is even coming up is because it is a question that is legitimately up for debate, mostly because of advocacy that has come from the left. You can’t say that Republicans are asking in bad faith when progressives are the ones that have pushed for a change to the definition that has generally

I’m not opposed to a government policing someone’s ability to purchase a substance that could have harmful effects on a fetus in principle. But I do think if you’re going to go down that road than it should at least be consistent and make sense in how it is administered.

I mean... the guy is already in a wheelchair.

Tallywacker is a highly technical term. It’s clear that Cawthorn has expert level knowledge on the subject of sex and gender if he’s using terms like tallywacker.

That’s easy. Most people don’t like being talked down to, which is a persistent problem with the loudest progressive voices. There’s also the fact that on most other issues of substance outside social issues the mainstream liberal parties have identical policies to conservative parties in basically every country in
