I think the rules are different in medieval fantasy. For example, have you seen Lord of the Rings? Rohan's capital city, Edoras, is tiny and probably barely bigger then Whiterun. Also, as someone else already said, technical limitations.

Exactly what my reaction is to this video. I saw no humor and, quite frankly, it looked like a Resident Evil knockoff. They're going the wrong direction with the zombie genre when they should be going the direction of State of Decay.

I think it's saying that if you do zombies right then you will be successful, we have more then enough zombie games. Far too often the developers focus on FPS elements, bad story, or graphics and forget what makes a zombie game good and SoD hits it on the mark (though lacking in graphics and story).
