Celiac disease isn’t an allergy. It also isn’t an “intolerance” whatever that may mean medically but which I’m not familiar with. It is an autoimmune disease that can cause a constellation of symptoms, not all of them related to gastrointestinal discomfort, and some of which only present later in life, i.e. why I was

There is literally no such thing as being ‘allergic’ to gluten and there is certainly no test for a gluten allergy (because such an allergy doesn’t exist), so either she’s lying to us or her doctor lied to her.

I just call them assholes.  Seems to fit just as well

May I submit for consideration, “Pestilencians”?

It’s worse, he used it to compare the people calling out anti-vaxers to racists. So he’s not only stupidly using a racist term in the context of something that has nothing to do with race, he’s doing so in the name of defending blatant stupidity itself.

Let’s not call them anti-vaxers anymore. It is so negative. I think Plague Carriers is more accurate and predictive of their future.

“You mean I can never say it?” / “You can say it, just be prepared to be called racist - because you most likely are if you feel so compelled to have to use that particular offensive word in conversation”

Well your child is permanently crippled now, but not autistic. Great parenting.

Some important points. 1) Being anti-vax is a choice. 2) It endangers the lives of the innocent. 3) It’s built on a pack of debunked lies.

Yes and yes.

The preferred nomenclature isn’t “anti-vax”, it’s “pro-disease”!

So almost every comment here is a brave stand for Ansari? It seems like more people are coming out swinging to defend Ansari’s conduct as not rape than there are people who are actually accusing him of rape. It’s almost like the idea that he’s been tarred and feathered with a rape accusation is an exaggerated strawman

There’s a reason why you’re buried in the greys.

Despite what all the yahoos on here will say, the woman from the Ansari story was not raped or sexually assaulted. She admitted up front that everything was consensual and that he did ultimately stop when she asked him to. However, the bigger issue that piece hit on was that A). there’s clearly a huge grey area between

There have been three takes on this.

“UGh! I’m so angry women are still complaining about how they’re treated!”

“Oh my god, Asiz Ansari is the worst person ever!”

“Wait, could the concept of what sexual assault is exist in a gray area and could many men in western-society have been in said area and not even realized it?”

I heard he was a terrible helicopter parent!

Sure, but that happens literally every time a celebrity is publicly accused of sexual misconduct.

If someone could give me a one sentence instruction on how to feel that would be great.

I wish I could say the same for mine - my mom spent the early 00s collecting Chick tracts and had almost all of them at one point, plus several of The Crusaders. I pointedly received the one about rock music as a “gift”.

So, apart from being a white English-language speaker on the modern youtubes, where apparently the kids are very easily pleased, can anyone actually explain the appeal of this person?
