A word of caution, passers-by: You're not just taking a selfie with Gronk. You're taking a selfie with everyone he's ever taken a selfie with in the past.

Can't believe no one's mentioning Resin. That's a desert island beer for me.

I just tried it over the weekend myself. If you're in the mood for an actual porter, I'd avoid it. It's mighty tasty but it's essentially an IPA with porter aspirations.

Almost pulled the trigger on a cube of Beast Mode the other day, loving all things Sixpoint, but I admit it, I'm a whiny bitch when it comes to porters. Cannot stand burnt malts or sharp edges. I'll have to double back.

"A beer called 'Beast Mode'? No thanks, I'll pass."

Just had it last weekend. It's really, really good. I think their Resin is my favorite overall but I have yet to have one of their beers that wasn't fantastic. It's just relatively hard to find. I'm an hour and a half's drive from Brooklyn, if that, and I can only find it in a few stores around here.

They've just started distributing here and I've already been quite impressed with the Hi-Res and the Bengali, and that's up against a crowded IPA field. Keeping my eyes peeled for Beast Mode. I know I just missed it at one bar.

Or even the musical Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

Everyone on the Gawker sites is a sociopath so it really doesn't matter.

But hey, that's the brand of masculinity our society seems to embrace.

if anyone here is a sociopath, it's the jamoke putting society at risk by hauling ass in daytime traffic.

Rage Against the Machine Tribute!

Both albums are currently Sold Out on Amazon... Good day for Beck I guess.

I also really love Modern Guilt. It did not get the attention it deserved. Danger Mouse did an incredible job with that record.

I love Midnite Vultures, but Odelay is clearly a better album - it's more coherent of a statement artistically, and it doesn't have all the tongue-in-cheek, winking-eye humor that ultimately drags Vultures down. And that's without considering the context - Odelay was quietly revolutionary, and a lot of people have

That was not bullshit. It was a blatant rip off.

Yeah Odelay vs. Vultures is close, but close enough. The fact that Vultures really freaked people out at the time is pretty endearing.

Now playing

I will concede that I really like Raising Sand, even if that makes me somewhat of an old fart myself.

BEST ALBUM, 2001

The Grammys have never been worse, but Beck's never been better.
