It’s a car for European millenials.
It’s a car for European millenials.
LOL, well that’s what I get for posting a nice long rant without watching the video! ASS-sume for me for sure...
The fact that only one side is being told is precisely one of the problems. Why are the police unable to give precise answers as to why property is being seized? They should have answered that question when the property was seized, yet its 100+ days later and there is still no response.
Fucking cyclists
I think if they were caught speeding, they’d have been charged with speeding.
My guess is civil forefeiture. One giant sweep of exotic cars means bank for city government. Civil forfeiture is the greatest act of injustice currently in the American legal system and nobody seems to care.
Interesting read, all sorts of twists and turns. That the police didn’t immediately impound the cars seems to indicate that something later triggered their change of direction. Influential cyclist (or family member)? Super D-Bag cop supervisor? Suspected link of one or more of the drivers to something else, but little…
My wife has a 2014 Grand Cherokee that I drive a lot. What you demonstrated is actually a pretty common occurrence. But the difference I would point out is that even when you are paying attention, sometimes the shifter seems to physically stop itself before going past that third detent and into park. I don’t know what…
I’ve driven a Grand Cherokee with this shifter. It didn’t seem THAT bad, but then again, yeah, it’s not all that hard to get it wrong if you’re not paying attention (and how many of us can say we pay close attention every single time we put the vehicle in to and out of gear). Even the dial-a-gear rotary knob Chrysler…
If your shiftier needs an instructional video...
That rig is gorgeous and amazing, but it’s hardly a Defender. It’s half of a D110 cab and some frame components. Suspension, axels, wheels, tires, motor, seats, etc. have all been changed. Calling this a Land Rover is like calling a Rally Fighter a Honda because it has Civic tail lights. Or calling an Ultra4 buggy a…
Not to mention that who in the hell grips the shifter like the knob in the video!? No one, that’s who. They’re going to place their hand over the top of it, obscuring the markings, depress the button with their thumb and push or pull.
I think it's a question of time and tactile feedback. I'm an impatient person; it seems like that shifter takes FOREVER AND EVER to kick into park. I just know I'd let go of it too soon at least once.
Even in the video, which seems like it would be shot to best indicate the functionality, I find the indicator on the shifter very hard to read. When I drove my (now former) bosses’ 2015 Grand Cherokee, I effectively could not read the shifter indicator. That got me looking at the dash trying to find another indicator…
if you need a educational video on how to shift gears in your newly designed suv, perhaps you are doing things a little more complicated than it should’ve been. there’s nothing wrong with some old fashioned components if they do the job right
Lol presumption that everyone driving a vehicle is driving their own vehicle. Lol presumption the manual is still with the vehicle. Lol presumption someone that’s been driving for a couple decades needs to RTFM to operate a motor vehicle.
This is such a needlessly complex (on the user end) change that gives the driver zero physical feedback to indicate what is happening. Bad all around. They should get thrown in the fire for this one. I bet they all patted each other on the back for getting rid of the gearchange linkage and sealing up the hole in the…
This FCA shifter is the worst of all worlds. It’s a combination of BMW’s non-conventional shifter, but without all the thought and consideration to things like “exactly how much finesse should be required to place a car in park?”
Lol uh...nothing against the E-Class but I don't think anyone is itching to put a bog standard model as their wallpaper.
