That’s my car! Bought a 2014 six months ago for 16k. Absolutely loving it so far. It’s quick and fits into any parking spot, and turns a lot of heads. I’m probably one of only a hundred people in Wisconsin driving one of these things, which is a cool feeling.

yep, what happened to the Jaws of Life thingy...

Pretty much every first responder carries some form of glass breaking tool.  Watching a person die because you don’t want to get a burn is pretty sad.

I’m not clear on what happened wither. There are dozens of reasons why a door handle could be inoperable after a crash.

My favorite part of the article:

It will still burble. And amazingly, it will sound exactly like the V8 C63.

What you don’t pay in maintenance, you’ll pay in gas, but a Yukon Denali is a legit luxury cruiser with the reliability of a pickup truck.

Opinions like this make some good populist kindling, but never addresses a) how money currently collected is being wasted and how to fix that and b) what exactly would this money be used for and c) who are we punishing and to what ends?

Not everyone who logs miles in an airplane is a billionaire jet-setter. A fair number of frequent fliers (myself included) are having their travel paid for by their employer. Increasing the cost of those flights isn’t going to reduce the amount that I travel, it’ll just increase the amount my company pays for that

Dave’s suggestion was almost perfect. However, he should have optioned to suggest a 300CD.
I mean - c’mon - PILLARLESS.

Psssh.. $30k budget?

It absolutely can’t be a Honda Civic? I guess you need a Toyota Corolla then.

I’m sure it’s a fine appliance, but we have lots of appliances.

I can’t say that most Fit owners care about any of the issues you just mentioned.

The Fit is actually pretty roomy inside with a lot of utility. It’s a really good deal and not at all a penalty box like its competitors.

There’s no penalty for copying in China, even Nikes.

You know you can just go to Harbor Freight and skip the 5 week wait for shipping, right?

This is like the military hardware version of when I’m shopping online for something, like a Dremel bit set, and I go on eBay only to find someone in China who will sell me a Drumel bit set for 1/5 the cost of the real thing, but it takes 5 weeks to get to me and when it shows up it’s wrapped in packaging and oil that

I get where you are coming from, but they are different vehicles.
