It is antithetical to the American way of life for you to tell me what I “need” based on your point of view. You might be right! It’s entirely likely! But trying to dictate what someone else buys/needs/wants is a weird use of your time.

If you are going to get an outback from the mid-late 2000's, get one with the 3.0.  It’s what I have and the extra power and grunt will be needed when you have the car loaded down.  The turbo models can be a pain, but the 3.0 produces basically the same amount of power without with as-the-lord-intended natural
