They’re rare, but they exist. I’ve known several people who own’d Platinums/King Ranches, and used them like any other truck, driving them through corn fields and ditches, loading the bed with rock, gravel, dirt, etc. and towing anything and everything they could. I know I’d be the same way.

It’s a tough spot. The world accelerated so fast between the tail end of Gen X and the end of Millennials that if you were Gen X and didn’t pay attention, you were easily left in the dust.

Useless? Last I checked we get more done for less pay than boomers ever could dream of accomplishing.

I think it’s already happening to some extent. We’re now roughly as big as the boomers in numbers, so GenX is squeezed by their lack of raw numbers. They have never been and will never be a major target demographic for anyone because there simply aren’t enough of them to do it with.
