I’m really not trying to bash your purchase but I am seriously interested. What made you buy the CX-3 and not just a 3 hatchback? the CX-3 is objectively worse in every category except front headroom and it has AWD.

If you can’t have fun driving a car it’s not the cars fault. It’s yours. When you were young, the Integras, Carollas, and Civics were just as boring as this car, but you were 16 and just starting to drive so they were fun.

How is it that Toyota and Nissan and Lexus and Infiniti’s design directions are somehow getting more and more baroque and overdone and cluttered and crazy, and somehow Daihatsu is quietly out there designing lovely things like this?

Seems to me a shear panel wouldn’t really improve the tensile strength of structure it is placed in, which looks to be the issue here, rather it would improve the lateral load stability, which looks to NOT be the issue here.
