Tanya brought death with her to the island.

Paula’s not the biggest villain, but she’s perhaps the most self-delusional. She is not one of the “good guys.” She’s hate watching her own vacation while still enjoying all the fruits of her host family’s white supremacy. Like Rachel, she maybe wants to be a good person or, perhaps, at least be seen as one.

1. Greg’s definitely dying, right? That cough was very Season 1 Breaking Bad.

Do we excuse the behavior of someone because it surfaces during a binge? Sexual coercion? Rape? Do these things not reflect on the person who does them? Should no responsibility be taken?

Any recovery program will tell you that the addiction is the reason, not the excuse. Lots of people abuse drugs and alcohol and never victimize other people. Deep down that abusive behavior is part of who he is. Dealing with it productively is what recovery is all about (not just abstaining from substances).

Yeah, if Quinn is gay it’s certainly not heavily underlined. His two epiphanies have had to do with the endemic beauty of the island. Whales and the rowers. He seemed more interested in the comradery of the men than their attractiveness. And when his father asked if he was gay Quinn certainly wasn’t weird or repulsed.

We still don’t know Paula’s $ situation. She gives off vibes of some level of privilege. Either way, though, she is certainly flawed. She’s already ashamed of Kai.

No, Shane has NOT seen WEHTBJ. LOL. That was grade A shoehorning of a line into the wrong character.

Cannot think of a single anthology I love. I’d rather a solid idea executed full on rather than a slurry of different tones and levels of execution linked by a weak umbrella brand or theme.

Thanks for the tip! I will read no more comments in this thread. :)

Shane has probably been accused of gaslighting at some point in his life but has no idea what it is. It makes sense that a spoiled person would adopt the terminology of the abused/oppressed.

Imagine all these great people being sidelined for a year or three with this nonsense.

Let’s take bets. Could Vin name a Fellini movie without Googling it?

He will live with Frederick, who turns out to take after Martin in terms of taste, and therefore the only nice thing in the house is Fraiser’s high-end designer chair.

Is not Barbie a literal little woman?

“My pitch: BLURRY, GRAY-SCALE STAR WARS. Runtime: 76 hours.”

Cliff Booth was a goddamn psychopath in the film. Pitt was incredible and using his movie star looks and physique to evoke alluring lethality at every turn. The way he raced his car through traffic, his disciplining of his dog, his marriage flashback and the final gleeful spree of violence against the Manson crew all

Reunion? Me: present.

1,000 times yes.

Gotta love a good Jesse Plemons drop-in.
