An employer has a responsibility to take action on things like this especially one as public and publicly funded as the BBC. Even if the victim doesnt want to and I can see why Tymon wanted to avoid it. As someone else posted, no short-term good can come from taking the right actions but it has to be done to prevent

I think taken alone, yeah they could have glossed over this. But he has been in hot water before with human resources, and he was warned that any further incidents would result in his termination. They clearly stated that they were prepared to fire him with one more incident. So what you are saying is factually true,

do you think it's appropriate for a 54-year-old man to throw temper tantrums because he didn't like the food that was available? Fuck's sake, we try to teach 4-year-olds not to do that.

My honest opinion started here and then I moved on to the feeling of rather than fucking up a great thing, he did something colossally stupid that ended a show just as it had finally lost it's charm.

Damn you, Jeremy. You really fucked up a great thing.

"But the instinct is all the same"

What instinct? The "instinct" to assault people who anger you? Do you have some kind of proof that this "instinct" exists, or are you just trying to validate your own rage issues?

You should hear Stephen A. Smith's views on what women should do to prevent being beaten. You would like them.

"I just want my fucking tv show".

Wow, people are willing to do some extensive mental gymnastics to justify an assault.

So you slam Clarkson for acting like a child yet you post like one?

"For all we know that producer could have been the most habitually incompetent fool that ever worked for top gear."

The difference is that dogs didn't bring us the Black Death. There are good reasons they have a bad reputation.

The BBC can't excuse it because then they are essentially telling the entire production team that should Clarkson have a go at them later, they just have to either put up with it or quit because Clarkson is untouchable. No sane company anywhere can do that.

What? I have been frustrated plenty of times and I've never punched anyone over it. Hitting people isn't a normal reaction that we all experience, sorry.

I don't understand how you don't fucking get this. You shouldn't try to fucking hit anyone at work. That gets most people fired. And if those other guys are holding the show ransom so that Clarkson can get away with abusing people fuck them too.

Most of the teachers are poorly and very modestly trained, and the focus of sequencing classes has moved from sequencing theory based on what is healthy for the body or energy flow (using the vedic system of energy flow) to choreography based on what "looks cool." Likewise, most teachers just focus on "what I tried"

Such love for a bully and thug. Damn but it's a totally fucked up world.

Bad luck dude. BBC had to send a clear message and they clearly balanced the pros and cons, and obviously concluded that preserving respect and dignity towards other co-workers weighs more than the desires of continuing with the show.
