Well, Ned was off by 2 carries. Guice was injured on his 6th touch.
Agreed, plus the technology is likely available. My wife’s ‘11 Acadia knows when a turn signal (at least rear) has burned out - it starts blinking obnoxiously loud and fast when you use that particular directional.
I’ve driven every one of over 5000 hours driven in my newest vehicle with the non-LED headlights on and they have not yet burned out. Also, the sound made by my car when I forget to turn them off is one that will make you turn them off right quick.
In General, that’s true.
Completely agreed. And even in slow motion, the cop had his gun pulled for less than 5 seconds.
Not to mention the Bucs getting Derrick Brooks at the end of the 1st round that year. Pretty damn good having drafted 2 HOFers in one round.
Yup, but the video was from the 2005 draft, and looking through them, it doesn’t look like they really screwed up other than not having a first round pick in ‘98 AND ‘99
And I overlooked Rozelle’s pause in the 1983 draft after “Quarterback...” like he was giving Jets fans hope they were actually going to draft Marino, then dropping “...Ken O’Brien”
And those were actually 2 of the LEAST terrible fuck-ups.
My favorite part is when Rozelle intentionally paused after “Fullback” to let that idiocy sink in with the crowd and you hear “OH NOOO!” in the background. Gets me every time.
Whenever you feel lousy about something your team did, just watch this:
A short debate: No.
You realize dealerships have a vast number of employees that are NOT part of the sales staff, right? My father’s dealership had, in it’s heyday, 15% of his staff in sales. The rest were administrative, parts, service or body shop employees.
I can’t imagine it’s very common - if it even occurred before. Generally it’s from bad weather, which in all likelihood would cause the game to be called anyways.
At least the timing of the one in LA was better, happening between the 1st & 2nd innings instead of the middle of a batter in a live inning
My only live sports regret is that I reluctantly turned down free tickets right behind home plate to the Cubs-Astros game at Miller Park (relocated due to Hurricane Ike) because I had a 3 hour drive home (I was in MKE visiting family at the time before I moved back).
Well, you went there. And I’ll see you on the first boat to hell.
If our trips were to the west, I’d probably employ this strategy. But all of our driving road trips that need 2 days all go through Chicago. In my experience, it’s best to drive through the Chicago area around noon any midweek day. Night time is either rush hour or road construction and is a nightmare, as is early…
