It appears so. What this decision really boiled down to is that while the NDPD operate with the full force & authority of a normal police agency, they do so at the whim of ND administration, and are therefore not subject to public records requests.

I guess they will need to wait until about April 2038 to call it the Eboladrome.

Does anyone have a screencap from the opening with James May shooting a gun out a car window? I need that as my computer wallpaper.

So, then we’re both dickish - your “you should have a better understanding than most” comment is in the same league. However, I don’t write the same on a Deadspin commenting section as I do in memos, briefs, etc. Clearly - my original post had “too” when “to” was appropriate. Fuck me.

Actually, it wasn’t apparent by the time stamp as your post came 4 minutes after mine. Also, this is a huge pet peeve of mine, and actually even said “Sorry if I sound harsh.” I’m guessing your comment would have been the same whether “As I said” was included or not.

As I said, this is NOT a FOIA case. FOIA applies to only documents held by the US govt and its agencies. This is a matter of public records law in the state of Indiana.

That is so unbelievably wrong, it’s hilarious.

No. FOIA relates only to documents held by the US govt and agencies thereof. And public records laws don’t apparently apply too the NDPD based on this decision (records of ND proper wouldn’t be subject to public records laws as it is a private institution).

Yes, but:

Forgot to include this:

No, they’re not.

Depends on who you ask. It seems the biggest difference is size - SUV are generally larger, built on larger non-car frames; CUV are generally smaller and are built on car frames. So, until we know the specs of this, it’s premature to call it either way (although I, too, would lean SUV as this is a 7-seater).

Look up Tom Monfils. Had a weight tied around his neck then thrown into a paper mill pulp vat.

Future news:

Sorry! My go-to when I need a pick me up is the Jets draft blunders video, so I guess be happy I didn’t post that?

That’s funny. Save a few people in the kinja threads across Gizmodo Media, very few people upset that Trump won want to “discuss” anything - just call Trump supporters racist while telling us to fuck off. While you may want to actually discuss it, you are in the vast minority here in Kinja-land.

Man, I need a drink. I’m buying.

That’s a bit of a false equivalency. I don’t agree with his positions/attitudes toward those groups, and my vote for him doesn’t mean I support or believe those attitudes at all. It means that I found him, personally, to be the better candidate of the two.

I’m not saying they were equally bad. However, due to things in my personal life, I cannot and will not find anyone that enables sexual assault or “slut-shames” victims of sexual assault a decent human being. All such people can go right ahead and fuck themselves.
