maybe, but there are a few Brewers fans that comment too; but I’ll be honest that I had to check when during the season he tore it - I thought it was one of the first series of the year, but was shocked that it was actually not until the first week of May.

Not unprecedented. The Brewers trotted out Yovani Gallardo in Game 1 of the 2008 NLDS after tearing his ACL in May of that year.

It’s great that the Wikipedia entry is “Steven” but then say “Stephen Theodore ‘Steve’ Hauschka”

Ugh. The series that made the Brewers pay a fuckton of money to Jeff motherfucking Suppan.

I traded in a 10-year old Chevy Impala with 200k miles on it and needed about $3000 in repairs (transmission, ball joints, radiator, and a few more things) and got $2500 for it (if the car was a little warm, the above-mentioned maladies were hardly noticeable - especially if you only drive it one loop around the

If it was fresh cut, maybe. It would still have moisture in it that would LIKELY prevent it from snapping and sending a 4" tree trunk/limb into the vehicle behind it. But if it was not fresh, that is easily just as bad as the idiots in this post

What’s more satisfying: your kids laughing hysterically at your fart or your wife/spouse being equally disgusted by it?

+1 behind

Yeah, there’s been a lot less of the “screw the Cubs” stuff here. I think some of it has to do with knowing the Brewers are going to be terrible the next couple years w/ the rebuild, and some of it being not wanting to hear Cubs fans bellyache about not having won the WS since 1908.

No problem! Enjoy the games!

I wouldn’t recommend Kroll’s for watching the Badgers game. Kroll’s is known for their burgers, but is more of a diner/restaurant. For the game, I’d hit up any of the bars on Holmgren Way - The Bar, Stadium View, Anduzzi’s, or Favre’s Steakhouse. All those places have a ton of tv’s and would likely have the sound of

Enjoy the game @ Lambeau. I’d suggest hitting up Kroll’s (if you park on the west side of stadium) or the bars on Holmgren Way (if on the east/arena side) if you’re going to be out & about before the game.

I would expect nothing less. That’s what sports is all about - rubbing wins & losses in the faces of others (not sarcastic at all, either)

Yup. That should be the new Brewers motto: “Avoiding Heartbreak since 1987!”

I suppose it is different after 2 SBs but, it sure was not easy to take. That loss & 4th & 26 still are worse to me than losing to Denver in SB 32 (and I fucking HATE John Elway).

Fair enough re: heartbreak. The Brewers haven’t been good enough in my lifetime for me to be heartbroken (and I was 3 when they were in the WS).

At least you have the right attitude!

I was 3 when the Brewers lost the WS, and you are the first person I’ve heard say they choked. Maybe because the beer goggles here still have such reverence for Harvey’s Wallbangers, but I’ve never heard “choke” referred to with that team.

The Cubs are just setting themselves up for even greater heartbreak in either the NLCS or WS. I can’t wait!

not as bad as this Lambo blunder
