Yes. This an anti-consumer, in that I am being forced into an inferior product I don’t want to use. Surprise surprise, but “how much money do you pay for the platform” isn’t the only consideration. The only way this is competitive is bad for consumers. 

Strong disagree. Things can have value without being a miserable grind, and there’s more fun ways of unlocking stuff than chasing a number endlessly.

I don’t hear any change there at all. That voice at that time stamp does not sound normal. It sounds like a slightly higher version of her weird one....maybe?

The AV stuff is moving considerably slower and has a ton more oversight though, so I’m not as worried. To be fair, it has gone *very* badly in some instances, and some people *have* died, but all things considered, less than I would have otherwise expected for the field, considering what the companies are doing.

All of this is entirely besides the point. At best, it sounds like trading an upfront cost (buying a console) for a billion variables which might be outside a players control (ISP coverage, data caps, etc etc). I don’t care if the best it can do is the exact same as what the machine I already have can do.
