Joe and Bernie are both too old.

Honestly glad that Pete Buttigieg is such a feckless idiot that he doesn’t realize the way that the prison-industrial complex has been weaponized to remove voting rights from communities of color. He’s too shrouded in his own neoliberal white privilege, and that tells me that he’s going to be a flash in the pan thank…
What’s to understand? Straight male who finds a woman attractive. You just happen to not find her attractive. That’s fine, but not understanding? That’s a bit baffling to me.
It was pretty obvious from watching the game that the foul discrepancy (and you hit on this a bit) was because the Bucks were much more aggressive driving to the basket, especially because they have Giannis (who, oddly, from my amateur eye, has yet to get the superstar treatment regularly).
Tormund, I believe it was, did in fact mention that the Night King has the killed dragon, which visibly shocked Dany.
You’re trying too hard.
I loved the interaction between Sansa and Theon. They’re the only two people who understand what a truly despicable piece of filth Ramsay was. Sansa has become one of the most well-rounded characters in the whole series. I almost don’t care who sits on the Iron Throne, so long as she gets to be Warden of the North.
This episode is how I’m going to remember these characters. I’ve been waiting for Book Jamie and Book Brienne to reach some sort of ending, and I think the show nailed it. I teared up a bit (a lot).
As I mentioned in the Newbies thread, I think there’s a chance Jaime is going to die killing the Night King. It will be the ultimate redemption, and it will turn his “Kingslayer” title from a shameful epithet to a legendary title. I just think the name “Kingslayer” is a huge, flashing hint considering the main enemy…
And as we all know from real history, if a person’s is disqualified from being king somehow, the fact his son still carries his blood is never used by some faction later on as justification for why they should get to control the throne now...
I assume the subtext is “I’m not comfortable seeing a 22 year-old woman who I’ve ‘known’ since she was a little girl get all sexy-time.”
Screwing her nephew isn’t big deal for her, her people have been marrying brothers and sisters for generations to keep the bloodline.
It’s a reminder that Alfie is one of the show’s strongest actors, and also of how much Sophie has improved. She’s nailing it this season.
I kinda hope the Night King reveals himself to Bran in the next episode and is easily killed by Theon. Then the army of the dead is immediately destroyed. The rest of the episode is everyone being disappointed standing around Winterfell.
Listen, all those characters, spare 3 or 4, will be dead in a week or two. Let’s enjoy every moment we have left with them, please?
Brienne’s knighting was the highlight of this episode, it moved me to tears. It struck the right tone and it was such a meaningful way to reward her. Gwendoline Christie played it beautifully. I just hope it wasn’t done to soften the blow of her death in the battle to come. *Shudder*
Fun fact, Grey Worm is two days from retirement.
I loved it. It was full of perfect character beats, and no less than two moments that made me get teary-eyed. The perfect set-up for next week.
Assorted thoughts:
Nah, Skyrim was dope. Sorry you didn’t like it.
