I think "Roseanne" was one of the last shows to actually embody that. Interesting that the clip is from Season Nine when they get rich.

Candis was Billy's lover on "Dirty Sexy Money", an ABC show that has a really good first season cut short by the writers' strike and when it came back it just wasn't the same.
And then she reminded him that if he were a king, it would be regicide!
DId you listen to her Stern interview? Yes, the money quote was her saying that it felt Kathy was pissing all over her mother's legacy, but that was toward the end; for the most part, I felt she was rather restrained and diplomatic about Kathy Griffin. "It is what it is" can go a long way.
"She looks super sketch, and you *know* her princess is Jasmine." Laura Prepon slayed that line.
Sophia is in it as Vanessa, but she's only there for a few pages.
Culver's is the besssttt. I only go a few times a year or I would gain a hundred pounds. And they bring your meal to your table so you can convince yourself that it's not fast food.
Is it going to have voice-over? I strangely hope that it doesn't.
I remember Christine Ebersole playing some type of diva character and there was a bank robbery, and the three of them and a fiery redhead sang "Devil in a Blue Dress" in a later episode. And I want to say Daryl "Chill" Mitchell was on it but I could be wrong.
That line is all the better knowing that Alicia Silverstone pronounced it "Hay-te-ans' and Amy Heckerling told everyone in production that no one was allowed to correct her.
"Batman Forever", because while I was conditioned to love all things Batman, I was nine when it came out. I wondered what it would be like as an adult. Would I still be as immersed into Gotham City? Would I be flummoxed by its Academy Award nominations?
"What's that you're wearing?"
"A dress."
"Says who?"
"Calvin Klein."
"Well, put something over it. It looks like underwear."
"DUH, Daddy. I was just going to."
Aw, man. Brittany's delivery of that line was perfection.
Okay, you're probably thinking, is this like a Noxzema commercial or what? But seriously, I have a way normal life for a teenage girl. I mean, I get up, brush my teeth, and pick out my school clothes.
"Lisa's First Word" will always be my favorite episode because of her scene at the end.
I was in second grade and still remember a magazine had a pullout poster with every single Simpsons character in a mug shot (even characters I didn't know about then, like Dr. Nick Rivera or Sideshow Mel — as a kid, the world of the Simpsons was incredibly expansive) … yet Maggie might not have even been featured.
Oh, I have had it, I have had it with this school, Skinner! The low test scores, class after class of ugly, ugly children!
I enjoyed it immensely, although I was perturbed that there was a character named Karen Walker, who I thought was a famous enough TV character that it was silly to do that. And Bobby Cannavale was in it and he was even on "Will & Grace" in its last three seasons.
She cracked me up and while I knew who she was, I had never seen any of her work before. The sidekick role can be so thankless, but she did a lot with that character (same for Allison Janney).
"Spy" was originally called "Susan Cooper".
