And looks really ugly.

As someone who races at El Toro frequently, can confirm, great for drifting.

How much did you buy the car for, $50?

This is 100% accurate.

One of the best skits from the show.

5th gear: "essing around."

I remember this very clearly. Modern C&D has gone dull, hasn't it?

Best post.

Torch, I want to applaud you for the work that you have put in today. You have put out about half a dozen columns in the past 12ish hours, and they have all been hysterical works of bitterness that reek of Clint Eastwood telling the damn kids to get off his lawn-style curmudgeony.

Make that 7800RPM, as per EVO Mag's interview with the Chief Designer. Perhaps this sounds a bit pedantic, but I am surprised at the low price tag. I figured this would crest 100k, because Porsche.

Agreed. Dealerships mess up the headlines all the time, especially when it comes to the niche stuff.

Any car making horsepower exceeding Miata levels will net no appreciable gains in power from an electric rack. How well calibrated is your butt dyno? I ask, because unless you can tangibly FEEL the 0.379 (approximately) horsepower gain, I call the power gains as BS. Efficiency is debatable, once again, because any car

Excited, but apprehensive because it's a "new" BMW. Read: Electric steering, numb, heavy, lacking in the fun department. At the present time, the only BMW I would be interested in upgrading to from my 135i is a 1M (go figure), but with the massive price gouging, there's no point when mine is already faster than a

I always try to find new ways to hoist whatever car I'm working on up in the air, this actually looks pretty sweet! However, I do agree with some folks when it comes to pulling wheels off, for both safety and access. I always tuck the wheels under the car in case shit gets real.

"Many started to add more HP, tires, suspension, and it came alive but out of the box it did not deliver on the track as it was expected." Like every single person who has ever taken their car to a track, ever? Tires alone make these cars VERY competitive, and if you think otherwise, you're either not paying

It's difficult for me to decide which I disagree with more, your opinion, or BMW's when it comes to styling direction. I'll stick with my old age design E82:

How deep is the stick inserted in there? Your posts have been reeking of butt-hurt ALL day.

I'm not an F1 geek, at all, but THIS is what F1 sounds like to me. The V12 engines have a nice husky, throaty sound, but the F1 cars of this era are positively screaming when the drivers are on throttle. Also, love watching events old enough that the race cars had manual transmissions, way more fun to watch.

Busted! Jalopnik is reporting live from 'Straya with the new Holden Howeryadoinmate 9000!

Not sure why the hate towards a true E-Diff. it is the ssame basic premise as the differentials used in Corvettes and EVOs, etc. It's a clutch type differential where the various clutches react to wheel slip as detected by the ECU and modulated accordingly. That is also not unlike the *gasp* ///M variable diff used in
