This is what you don’t seem to understand, this car is not meant to be a track day toy.

That car is eligible for one racing series, this miata was purposefully built to be compliant with many different regulatory bodies rules so that it can be entered into many different racing series with little modification.

I would imagine they don’t do that because they are busy working on this.

I think a lot of that can be chalked up to the kind of the engine the miata has from the factory in street spec. Running such high compression in an engine that you can be sure people will abuse and neglect means it needs to be stupid tough to not break. Factor in the kind of maintenance schedule you run in a race car…

Go look at any manufacturers turn-key race cars. They are all a lot more expensive than their road legal counter parts. A focus ST-R is nearly 100k.

What you are talking about building isn’t the same as what Mazda is selling. They are selling a car that is eligible for numerous racing series’.

Go look at the price of any certified turn key race car from any manufacturer.

This is honestly not very expensive considering it is literally a turn key race car.
