Yeah I think so. I don’t get why people think that makes sense.

I had someone look at my taurus SHO who had seen pictures of it and was FURIOUS when he saw that it had rust on the pinch welds. Despite the fact that I mentioned it in the add and when emailing him before he saw it. Also, it is a 19 year old ford with 158k miles in Connecticut. You should ASSUME it has rust.…
Yeah I’m extemely curious. If what they show us looks at the Tokyo motor show looks good and is supposed to have the right specs, I’ll be ordering one as soon as I can.
Yeah it is but it isn’t conducive to a car that is fun on a back road and on a track. You can get that kind of engine behavior aftermarket.

That is absolutely unbelievable. You should replace it with something more reliable when the warranty is up. Like a jaguar.
It's a cross over. It's not going to be that fast In the traditional sense of fast. They absolutely are leading the industry in terms of infotainment systems and interfaces. The drivetrain technology is solid and they take amazing of their customers. Obviously no company is without fault but you don't give tesla…
I think rotaries are in Mazda’s future, just not yet. Not until they have completely reestablished their bread and butter vehicles. Their current tie up with toyota is interesting to me. The 3.5 V6 in the avalon is exceedingly reliable and when its tuned for old-person-sled duty it makes 270hp and 250tq. I feel like a…
This will be a big selling point in China I imagine.
Mazda does have a tech partnership with toyota now though...and they do have a pretty damn good 3.5L V6....
I agree completely and I wish they would. I just doubt they will because Mazda has so little R&D money, it would be surprising if they decided to develop an engine specifically one trim level of one car. Especially because it would more than likely need to be crash tested with each engine.
You should probably go to the doctor then because there is clearly something very wrong with your eyes or your brain.
Makes you miss the days when ford and mazda were buddy-buddy.
That windshield is pretty damn incredible.
This completely changes my plans for the next couple of years assuming its as good as im hoping. I was going to buy a first gen RX7 and turn it into a track car...that money may be getting saved for a downpayment on whatever Mazda decides to call their new sports car.
Agreed 9000%. My daily is an 06 Mazda 6 V6 and I love how smooth it is but I don’t think mazda has the funds to develop a V6 for this car. That said, I would prefer it to a boosted 4.
It needs to be called the MX-7
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me they are going to drop the turbo 4 from for the new CX-9 in this car. I LOVE rotaries to death but Mazda is not in a position to make gambles right now and a turbo 4 is not a gamble. But a turbo 4 can still be powerful, it can still be tuned to behave like a proper engine with a smooth…
