We have developed something that operates exacty like that in aircraft carriers for the purpose of launching carrier fighters. From what I understand it hasn’t been particularly reliable and it uses monumental amounts of energy. And that’s launching a much lighter fighter plane at much lower speeds.

Toyota really has a gift. I can’t believe that this is what they thought would be a good way to turn a mazda 2 into a scion.

Toyota must really be hoping that the extra mileage over the tesla will mean that people are okay not driving a beautiful, refined, sports sedan and instead climb into a 4 wheeled wart with a shitty interior.

Fusion ST/RS

The problem is that you can’t always have that kind of control over the airspace, and if you do end up in a dog fight in the F35, you are screwed. It doesn’t carry a gun so you would need to carry a gun pod and it’s apparently not very maneuverable. It’s like the F4 all over again except the F35 has stealth on its

Sums it up perfectly. Imagine our Air Force if we had put half the money for the F35 towards updating our F16’s and the other half towards various other more promising next gen fighters. Then again that would be logical, which is not what our federal government or the military industrial complex wants because $$.

When I read “cheap gas coming to the U.S.”, all I hear is more reasons to buy into the brapbrap club. SOMEBODY STOP ME! Lol

It’s like a bigger miata. I’ve driven one and I loved it but you can get an MS6/MS3 for about the same money or if you want a RWD mazda you could get an FD RX7 for the same amount as an RX8 and a turbo kit to make it as fast as the RX7.

“Minimum wage jalop” needs to become a thing.

Stupid owner-installed badges aside, damn does the RX8 looks good from behind.

Ah okay, well that's great news!

The 4C is way way too expensive and there are too few of them. There is no reason they couldn’t have made the car more affordable and less extreme. The giulia will most likely be the same story. I would be shocked it the entry level price or that car isn’t north of $60k and that is not what Alfa was and it’s not all

I can hear it now: “Who says that my commute to work can’t look like Suzuka?”

As jalops we can do this. We have the technology pocket change! Everyone go empty the change from your cup holders!

5th gear: I think Alfa would have been better suited by launching a new spider or a cheaper small RWD sedan. Alfa needs to rebuild their brand image and the easiest way would seem to be making a car that is affordable to more people but still a quality product. I really don't think the right path for Alfa is to be the

Best thing I have read today.

It's cool but you could buy a car exactly like this for substantially less. Cp.

Just find a curb and hug that bitch. Curbs don’t have doors to be opened by assholes. That's what I always do and it pretty much never fails.

The current SHO isn't really a true sports sedan. It's an incredibly good highway cruiser but it is lacking in the handling/steering feel department.

This car is more of an SHO than the current actual Taurus SHO.
