Okay so here is the problem. If the roads are all privately owned we run into the same problems we have now with Comcast. They will have a monopoly. Comcast damn well knows that they have the majority of broadband customers and as a result they provide AWFUL service because they know generally there is no alternative.

It makes them less likely to take risks with huge amounts of money because the rewards are smaller. Also I disagree, our interstate system was phenomenal without being privately owned, there is no reason that can't be the case again.

The reason why their should be a tax on capital gains is partly to discourage irresponsible gambling, like the kind that was partly to blame for the recession. Why would you want to get rid of the capital gains tax? They are under-taxed already. There is absolutely no reason why someone who does hard labor for a living should have their income taxed more than capital gains.

Well it would be quite easy to pay for it if we fixed the tax code so that the wealthiest individuals and corporations aren't allowed to avoid taxes by exploiting loopholes only they can realistically use.
