My 2018 Fitis a manual, and that made a huge difference. It feels more powerful on the same motor because the CVT they were offering is such a dud. I can understand not wanting a manual, and I can understand not wanting that tiny ass engine paired to a CVT.

This doesn’t sound like what you puds said in 2022:

Oh, I’m sure my life would be no different today with the Forester, and some of that driving experience bit is a matter of perception (the Forester is physically larger and the Fit sits much lower to the ground).

I was looking at cars in 2019 and ended up getting a Honda Fit and haven’t looked back.

The word “simply” is not doing that sentence any favors.

Agree. My girlfriend lives out “on an empty country road”, and it’s that attitude that makes the moderate bit of trailering we do much harder and scarier than it needs to be. I feel bad for the working farmers who have to take their tractors to the roadways. Every turn, narrow bridge crossing, or blind hill/rise in

It’s not quite the same arrangement but this makes me think of Butch Cassidy...

Now playing

The Dunkin is across the street. Biggest day Dewey and Donny’s lives. LOTS to talk about as they stand out front and take pictures on their busted ass phones.

And then try to come up with ways to force them to pay for the privilege of paying attention to him.

If you say the words “diesel emissions issues” here, rednecks will line up to tell you exactly where to go to get the deletes done.

People show UP at any excuse to get to say ‘bollard’ here.

As another Fit owner and aficionado, I wholly concur.

You know I expected the loop to look a little loopier than this.

I’m not a lawyer, but can’t you not resist arrest if you’re not already getting arrested (here presumably for scooting on the sidewalk)?

I’ve never been anywhere where I’ve seen any enforcement of any rules or norms regarding those stupid fucking scooters. I can’t imagine a place that polices it to the point where someone would get scooped up and taken to jail for riding them on the sidewalk.

It’s good to know the incompetence goes beyond the local used car lots and into municipal governance and law enforcement. Good luck down there (if that’s where you are).

Both Aldi and Dollar General sell very passable versions of Girl Scout cookies under store brand names. They’re good, cost <$3 a box, and are available year round.

I bought a Honda Fit in 2019. I had shopped those, (mostly older) Outbacks and Foresters, and a few other similar cars. I’d always liked the Element, but the ones I’d seen for sale in NE were super high mileage, well-loved examples.
