Gee, it’s Friday already? I guess I’ll be playing more Celeste in my quest for completion. There’s also a Splatfest (Team Love, of course), and my copy of Bayonetta 2 should arrive, so maybe I’ll do a replay.

I think it’s donald as hell.

I watched it, but still didn’t get it...then I realized I’d turned Annotations off. Also I was supposed to watch parts 11 and 18 simultaneously, right?

Thanks! It only took me like three drafts getting thrown in the garbage before I had a way to actually convey how I felt!

I’m still going through the Endurance Run, it’s so good. I didn’t realize one of them passed, though. I’ve never been familiar with Giant Bomb.

Celeste is still managing to keep me hooked. While I beat the main story last week, there’s so much to do in the game. I’m trying to gather all the berries, and the B-sides, harder versions of the regular levels, are full of brutal deaths. Then there are the Crystal Hearts, which are...a genuine treat. These show up

The biggest thing that people used for evidence was that in the old TV series, he would take it off like a hat. But, the Super Mario Bros. Super Show is arguably non-canon, so there’s the real problem.

That’s just you, I’ll go with mai take.

Yeah, the time limit is often a silly feature to still keep in Mario. I get what they’re going for sometimes, but it often just feels unnecessary. Either you have plenty of time left so you don’t even notice it, or you end up running out of time because how dare you poke and prod at the level for secrets. It’s

It’s gonna be an indie weekend for the Switch, with Celeste, Crypt of the Necrodancer, and Night in the Woods. I mentioned in this site’s review of Celeste that it’s one of my new favorite games, not just for the system but in general, and so I’m eagerly diving into exploring it to find its many secrets. Also, I went

In a way...I mean, the girl is still dead or whatever, though.

From what I understand, also show Thimbleweed Park just to let them know how adventure games have gone.

To put it in a bit of perspective, I gave up on Super Meat Boy (another one of “those types of games”), but made it through this one. And I don’t even remember what made me quit Meat Boy, just that I stopped playing part way through...I want to say the Salt Mines...and I never went back. Celeste drove me to complete

Oh, I’m also happy to see that they did make that Instagram page. I forgot to look into it. I really like the one with him and his friends in the car, just because A) that Switch and Pikmin love, and B) I started playing Celeste and got through the bulk of it on a lengthy New York trip this weekend. I was even sitting

Yeah, there are very few sections where you can’t see everything that you need to get through, and even those usually give you enough time to process. They even have sections with those binocular station things so that you can survey the longer challenges. I feel like the atmosphere helps it even more with this. Super

[Spoilery stuff here, recommended that you finish the game before reading]

Yeah, I was so happy when I realized that the whole game acts as a metaphor for her depression and anxiety. There are so many challenges, rooms, and strawberries (especially the latter) that appear, at a glance, to be impossible. “There’s no way,” I would think, before even attempting the challenge. But then, through

I’m pretty sure my parents just wanted to kill our Pokemon obsession when we were kids, but they needed an inciting incident. Maybe it was the fact that we were crazy about a video game when we didn’t even own video game systems. Maybe we were waking them up when we’d watch the anime in the morning. Maybe they were

Oh my gosh, I’m loving this Chrono Trigger run already. I’m already curious about what they’ll name Robo...assuming this name running gag continues, it’ll either be Bobo or Brobo, both of which are incredible.
