I wrote a list of all the games I played with tiny reviews of each one, if you want another sort of guide on it: https://jakeoti.wordpress.c…

I'm pretty excited for Hollow Knight to make its way to Switch; I was interested when I first saw it for Wii U, debated getting PC, and then my PC broke and the Switch came.

There's also Tal Tal Peak, which I don't expect to find a giant egg on, but maybe just some regular bird eggs? Also, more importantly than Tingel Island…there's Knuckel Island right below that. Any chance of finding an emerald there?

That makes sense. Especially in a game where you're so much more powerful at the end than you were at the start.

No Kraken this time around (all the Specials have been replaced), but the Roller does have the Splatdown, which makes you leap in the air, temporarily invincible, and create a giant explosion around you….and you can also use it while Super Jumping to an ally. I'm pretty stoked for it.

Good job on beating Link's Awakening; I agree that it's up there for me. Definitely one of the more emotional games.

There's still some of that stuff that I did/do. Xenoblade X, for example…the final boss was so difficult that it came up with a "you can turn down the difficulty for this fight" option and I took it because at that point I kind of just wanted to finish the game. I also do always have tons of meals in BotW. Some I

It'll be Breath of the Wild and SPLATOON 2!!!!!…testfirefor me. I'll sadly only be able to play the Splatoon Testfire on Saturday and Sunday, but I'm gonna make the most of each time.

That video is a good examination of Rising; I especially like how he calls specific attention to the music, which is the epitome of over-the-top-so-stupid-we-don't-care awesome.

Eh, Bayonetta 2 is different in that Nintendo published it, and so they had rights to the game. Since Nier is Square and Platinum, it's not out of the running to go to other platforms in the future. It's still hardly something I'm holding my breath for, but it's at least a higher chance.

V for Vendetta was the other big one that came to mind; did at least well with critics, made a lot of money, and now people can't stop with the Guy Fawkes mask and the 5th of November crap…and the film was a diluted version of Alan Moore's ode to anarchy. Not to say that either work is truly great or truly bad, but

Oh yeah, Speed Racer was incredible because it was so insane…but it also got panned by critics. It kind of shows why studios go the "more realistic" route for our audience. Try and do something that crazy, and you end up being told how bad a move it was. Look at what Wachowski films got rave reviews vs. which were

Platinum's been really good about doing this with their games. Metal Gear never really made sense, and Rising continued that. Bayonetta is completely ridiculous (how do you even fire guns that are on the heels of your shoes?), but there's never any questioning as to how it works. It just does. And it's awesome. And

Seems fitting…I think? Maybe? There's something about robots and inner beauty. I dunno.

Whoof, that sucks, but I do remember hearing something now that you mention it. It's also, sadly, pretty much expected at this point. Game designed for console? PC version sucks. Game designed for PC? Console version sucks.

This is probably the game that is most up there on my "man I really wish I could play it" list. A PC that recently broke (and might not have been able to play it anyway) and a lack of PS4 means that it ain't happening, and I'm not exactly seeing the money to get either one of those in the nier future. Ha. See what I

So the biggest thing with the d-pad is that…well, it's a d-pad. Maybe there's more inaccuracy than I'm thinking, but I sometimes do end up pressing up on it when I want to press right. But I've had this problem with just about every single d-pad in existence. Thus far, it doesn't seem to be really different than the

If I get it, it'll be the same. I've heard a lot of great things so far, though, so maybe I will check it out.

Ugh, if only my PC was alive. And was good enough to run it well, because I think it would have suffered. Or I had a PS4. The point is I'm super jealous of anyone playing Nier.

I've actually been playing Breath of the Wild in handheld mode a lot, whether it's taking it to the bedroom, the doctor's office, or just to switch up where I'm sitting. The Pro Controller that I got is definitely better, though.
