Fair, but let's be honest here: one clunky game to sell a console that, besides that one clunky game, does pretty much the exact same things as something that they already have is way different than debating if another market is open to your storytelling. Especially when you consider that Square's debate over

It's funny that they even made statements that Scalebound would sell Xbox One's in Japan, where the Xbox is a notoriously poor selling brand (I believe the One has sold literally in just the double-digits there some weeks). But, in my mind, if Bayonetta 2 didn't sell the Wii U over there, how was Scalebound going to

While I wasn't terribly impressed with Scalebound from its demos, this is unfortunate to hear. Part of me worries how much this will hurt Platinum, especially since last year wasn't too kind to them. Not to mention Kamiya, who clearly has a lot of passion for the projects he works on. I'm not surprised that he butted

…ha! I get it! It's referencing that one game!

[we slammed our head on the] Keyboard [and called ourselves] Geniuses

I won't really fault anyone for liking it. If anything, some of the high points in the game are also highs for the series. It just…didn't do anything for me as a whole.

Well, the next is fortunately Thousand-Year Door which is arguably the best in the series, so you'll at least be good in that regard.

Definitely go just a bit further in Moon, and you'll be set. I remember feeling like it was dragging just a bit around there, but at a certain point the game's pacing picks up big time. Shortly before the third kahuna fight, to be specific.

Super Paper Mario is…not a good game. It's definitely my least favorite in the series. Granted, I liked Sticker Star more than most, but I not only think Super is a bad Paper Mario game, I think it's a poorly designed game in general.

We only got the final hit on him by somewhat sheer luck. A bit of skill, but there was definitely luck (I popped the balloon that was bringing my wife back and she managed to adjust herself when falling out to land right on his head). The idea of facing him alone kills me.

Aww yeah, don't worry, I did the same thing you did before as well! Heck, I dropped down to C+ for a bit…and I think I even dropped to C. Because the C's are this horrifying hell where people sometimes think they're playing Turf War…I literally once saw someone Inkstrike an area on Piranha Pit that there is no reason

Oh yeah, I forgot about the just straight-up Shy Guy murder. My wife and I couldn't stop laughing just because it was so unexpectedly brutal.

I don't watch them too much, but their love of Platinum is great. They have just the right reactions at the Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2.

Whoof, if you just started it and it's kinda difficult (which it is…I think its difficulty kind of assumes that you played Returns)…but yeah, wait until the final world. There was…a lot of death for me and my wife. A lot of how we even won was because we were playing co-op, and thus could wait for the other to respawn.

The looks at Nier Automata make me jealous of PS4 owners. Or people who have good enough PCs (although there's always the risk of a poorly done port there. PS4 is probably the version they're concentrating on, which means it's most likely to be quality). But, yeah. The signature Platinum launch (popping enemy into

Yeah, Color Splash is really dang good. I'm a bigger fan of the combat system than I know most people are, personally. I'm not gonna say that it and Sticker Star have a "better" combat system than the first two…in fact, I would never say that, seeing as to how the first two have some of the best combat systems in any

He is. He even gets a weird level where it's basically just you vs. him, but not in a dogfight.

Wrapping up the year with some more Splatoon and Pokemon Sun. I managed to hit A+ in Splatoon, so now I really need to play at my best. I put hitting S-rank on my Wii U bucket list, so I'm eager to check that off. As for Pokemon, I'm up against the Champion, which is a brutal fight. I'm hoping to beat it soon, just

I didn't actually get any games…probably because I've made it a point to insist that I don't want any more games, please I have enough, I can't even finish what I have, please buy me a robot to play through my backlog for me instead…

Yeah, I definitely turned on the 3D for that final fight. So freaking incredible.
