I miss some of the controls that the Wii version had, mainly the spin attack. It just felt so good to be able to unleash that thing in an instant. The gyro controls for the aiming at least feel good, though.

Bayonetta 2 is a darn good game, and going back to get all the verses is nice, especially because some of the secret ones have parts of weapons. It's my current favorite type of game, where a playthrough isn't too long, but there's a lot more time when you start trying to complete it.

Hey! I played Bayonetta 2 with the Mario Umbran Elegance on, so it counts!

Oh boy, it's time for me to go on my rant about Bravely Default's ending!

Highly recommend people picking up Pikmin 3, one of my favorite games on the system. I was tempted to play 3D World today in honor of Mario Day, but ended up playing Bayonetta 2 and Twilight Princess.

This was actually one of the things that made me not enjoy the game as much. Link is always supposed to be an avatar for the player, our literal link to the world. But his role in the village made me feel more distant from him than ever. Everyone knows him by name, and he seems eager to help them…but as for me, I

My copy of Twilight Princess HD arrived today, so I started that. And…it sure is Twilight Princess….

Snowpeak Ruins is definitely the game's best dungeon, and one of the best dungeons in the series. For me, though, the art style is a hit-and-miss. The architecture is some of my favorite in the series, especially as you noted with the crumbling pieces that can be found around Hyrule. Though underpopulated, this gives

Pokemon Snap is a treasure in every way, so how dare you.

Sonic '06 truly is a remarkable piece that just never stops raising questions. Let's note, for example, the fact that the basic plot is actually decent. Its time travel shenanigans actually have some cool bits, such as Silver being misled into believing that he has to take down Sonic to save the world, or that the big

Even more awkwardly, the original version sings "Praise the Lord!" and such. This was cut from the NA version.

The graphics are kinda weird in III, clearly trying for more detailed, realistic sprites, but they can't quite look how they want them to look, which is very offputting. But I have so many fond memories of that game and it still holds up as a decent strategy game, especially for hot seat. But, yeah, after III…it just

Aww, making me sad now. I remember being hyped for Arc Rise Fantasia, but then a crippled budget near its release and mediocre review scores made me pass. Now, it's one of those ones that I haven't even seen used copies floating around, and looking it up online brings at least a $40 price tag, which is tough to

That fight against the three is the most brutal thing ever, made even more brutal by the fact that you have to do it twice. I swear that that was actually a programming error or something, since the first fight starts off with them putting up a device that blocks out the Guardian Spirit (iow, you, the player). Felt

Oh yeah, don't get me started on my love for the prequel. That is hands down my favorite GameCube game. I need to find my copy (it's either somewhere in my apartment or at my parents' house, where I let my sister play it). I didn't actually face the true final boss, thanks to a stupid save point after you face the

The bit on Legend of Dragoon makes me think of one game that I considered, Baten Kaitos. It too features a bunch of characters with wings, which makes it very confusing when characters can't get over a fallen tree. But, I would hardly rank it as bad. Its card-based combat is imperfect, but also a breath of fresh air.

We not only learned that those snakes fought monkeys, but also that the plane didn't fly on weekends.

Really fascinating. I remember the Deku Nut glitch the last time they ran it at an AGDQ event; RNGsus was having no mercy, and they took about 10 minutes before a nut dropped. It was really weird.

Agreed on wanting one of those systems for this game. The most I've gotten to do with it was play some at a Vita demo booth when the system first came out. It was one of those things that I couldn't quite get, but I knew I would get the hang of it if I had time. Add this to the list of games that I'll get in the

I like to keep track of what companies show at E3 and how long after they come out, if they do at all, and how much like the feature they are. It's kinda sad that now Microsoft's 2014 showing is gonna have two games that were killed along with the studio (Phantom Dust being the first). I remember thinking they had a
