Yeah, that Super Metroid remix was awesome, although as a Prime player first, it worked the opposite way for me. When I played Super Metroid, I was more like "whoa, this is where this Prime tune came from! Awesome!" for both Maridia and the lower sections of Norfair.

I think part of what makes me eager to try Tokyo Mirage is that it's just plain different.
I'm still not quite sold on Pokken, but that's less about the game itself and more that I have so little time. If I'm going to work on a fighting game, I'll keep going with Smash, which I already have and thus don't need to drop

I know, that's why I don't think the things worked properly. If there's one thing Nintendo loves, it's finding ways to make you buy their old games again. Why would they have passed up on the opportunity to have SNES games make them money on 3DS if it had been easy to port? Especially when they had a sequel to Link to

If your emulator even has a windowed mode, go with that. Just set your background to be pure black or something so it's less distracting. I know that's how I did it when I played through both of them.

Making my way through Fire Emblem Fates…for a little bit. I'll be going on a road trip to get my younger brother from college for his break, and we split the cost of the Special Edition. So, before he leaves, I'll be passing the cartridge off to him. If anything, I'll probably just give it to him for the car ride back

I believe the GBA games actually had their own difference, though. Like, they didn't actually work the same as VC games or something.

While Torvus Bog is my favorite area from Echoes, Sanctuary Fortress is a close second. The music, the giant robots, everything. Quadraxis is also an incredible fight. Also, the Dark Suit was my favorite Samus outfit…until I got the Light Suit. That one is easily my favorite armor in the whole series.

What they do with the beams is very interesting. It feels very much like they took the criticism from Echoes of "it's a bit too similar" and decided to avoid that. Does it work? Yes and no.

I've been going through Season 3, which was where I stopped when I'm a kid. I'd heard good things, though, and it really does have its own feel. The biggest problem now is that it was already hard enough to find time to watch it…and then my wife actually got a bit invested in it, so now I don't want to leave her

In this case, though, I'm pretty sure it's a justification. SNES games probably can't run well on the regular 3DS, otherwise they would've put them on ages ago. And when I say justification, I mean that there it is an actual benefit to upgrading. Not that it justifies purchase. Playing Earthbound or Donkey Kong

To me, that connection just takes the series higher. The games may not be that great, but lots of people go into them with arms wide open.

Makes sense, since she technically is playing herself (to get really technical, she's playing a stuntwoman named Zoe Bell…but it's in the Tarantinoverse).

Her "I'm okay!" at the turning point of the Death Proof car chase might be my favorite delivery in that movie. That whole chase is one of my favorite scenes in any movie, and she really helps make it.

Having the extension on makes reading articles like this a little confusing, but no less amusing.

One of the things that I am oddly considering in this course is the students' time. A lengthy RPG like one of the Final Fantasies, or even Ocarina of Time, is going to be an issue to assign. To truly cover everything, you need to base the course around short games, have any long games be near the end with an

Yeah, I remember getting stuck there when I first played. I don't think I looked it up, but it took me a while.

I'm going the "avoid all spoilers" route again. I did it for X/Y and there were some nice surprises as such, like Goomy!

Wait, what? I never got the Scarecrow on my first playthrough. Unless they changed it for the 3DS version.

Psychic is the mind and bugs are scary is the thing I've heard. I just kind of remembered it as "that mostly useless type is good against that really powerful type, kind of like the Spy in Stratego".

Ah, you forget…that plants absorb/drink water! So…maybe the leaf would do something if placed in the water…after a while…I'm not sure.
