I saw this last weekend in one of the limited number of U.S. theaters showing it. I was pleasantly surprised! It was at least as good as big-budget Hollywood disaster movies like Armageddon, but with a distinctly Chinese take, with heavy themes of family and collective sacrifice. The special effects were cool.
