Oklahoma and Nebraska might be red, but Iowa is very much a swing state and cities like Des Moines lean much more blue. Democrats carried the state in 5 out of 6 general elections. The current govenor is Republican while the previous two were Democrats. We’re not the bible belt here in Des Moines!
