I feel like more time could have been spent talking about how the app is 60GB. I need to know more.

I just appreciate seeing a Vadim Razov review - a terrible documentary about decrepit conservatism comes out, and they shine the Razov Signal.
I am astonished by Rizov’s constitution for watching these things. The only way I could possibly watch five minutes of this, much less the whole thing, is if some berserk viking impaled me to the theater chair with a spear.
Love Hudsucker Proxy... You know, for kids!
I don’t really know why, but I’m just delighted that Tim Robbins decided the interview wasn’t ENOUGH of a retrospective, so he brings up more movies.
The Hudsucker Proxy is probably my favorite Coen Bros. movie. It’s not their best movie, but it’s my favorite.
They already screwed that up with T2. T1 was a very self contained story that did a great job of explaining why only one Terminator was sent back to that specific time. Reese tells the police that Skynet sent the Terminator as a last ditch effort right before it was defeated and it sent the Terminator to 1984 because…
I want my Terminator vs. 1930's Gangsters movie!
I am always delighted when I re-watch “The Sting” at how well it holds up even after you know the ending. On the morning of the big con, when Hooker and Gondorf are getting dressed, you actually see Hooker put something into his cheek. On your first viewing, you pay no attention to it, but the next time you see the…
...a woman defending a child from the Nazis at great risk to her own life?
He’s also good in The Myerowitz Stories (New and Selected).
I’ve had such a stressful week and it’s only Tuesday, with more to come. Then Iggy, long MIA, but cape fluttering in the wind, drops the classic AVClub D+.
l, Robot is kind of fun in a stupid way
Jesus, that scene in Jackie Brown. Masters at work. I chills a what a terrific piece of work that scene is.
For better and worse, Tarantino comes off like he’s still that geeky kid working at the video store who is obsessed with movies and watches everything that comes out. It’s at its most charming when he’s out there hiring his heroes long after everyone else has written them off.
A related story I heard was that Pam Grier went to meet Tarantino in his office (presumably Jackie Brown) and it was full of posters of her films. She said something like "Did you put those up because I was coming?" and he said something like "I was going to take them down because you were coming."
I got to know him a bit over the last year or so. He was a really great guy, very friendly and affable. Really vital too - seemed ten years younger than he was. This is a real surprise, and a sad one.
He always had the kindest eyes. Not to mention, his voice sounded like an audible representation of the taste of dark coffee. Loved him in everything. RIP.
Will Harris! It’s been too long since you wrote a Random Roles. You’re a really skilled interviewer.
In my head these RR interviews read like the subject wearily expects another lame softball fake-laugh dotted junket interview with the same four or five questions they’ve been answering for years - until Will pulls out their first obscure appearance or asks an actual thoughtfully researched question and they start…
