No, it really wasn’t. PS2 was the clear no. 1 but that cool console title that generation belonged to the Xbox cause of Halo, and combination of Madden/XBOX LIVE. In fact, GCN was probably the most uncool of that generation because the majority thought of that as a kids’ console.

I can confidently say that, personally for me, Dragon Quest XI is the only game I am extremely looking forward to. Like, really hyped up for. Sure, there’s Horizon and Persona 5 I am also looking forward to... But something like DQXI, I would buy a game console for.
