Even though May 77 is often my favorite run of shows ever, nothing after that? I'd post some of my late 80s early 90s favorites, but I don't really think most people care.

Me too, really, I just think there needs to be more time dedicated to it than one feature length documentary.

First of all, the Dead had a shit ton of shorter, non-jamming songs that they performed in abundance at every concert. Just sayin'. I realize everyone probably knows that, it's just obnoxious that "journalists" still play on the same old tired Dead stereotypes after all these years.

Wow. I knew the AV Club was a cynical, but 30 up votes for that comment? Y'all might be a bit more jaded than I originally thought.

I have. Discovered him when I read Sandman Presents: Dead Boy Detectives. Rather fond of the graphic novel he did with Jason called The Fall.

It's all about the ride, and I intend to fill mine with as much dorkiness as possible.

Fair points all around, and the serious ones are really solid. Those would in fact be my reasons for reading them at some point in the future (maybe when they're all completed… see, I just gave myself an out right there).

I'm a pretty big dork, though. I read a lot and I already own the books. I love the series, however, so the books won't be getting read until after the very last episode has aired. At that time I'll have to reconsider how dorky I'm feeling.

Makes me glad I haven't read the books yet, but also makes me wonder if I should even bother.

No real desire to own this particular (mix)tape, but I do still have not one, but two cassette decks in use on my stereo system. Believe it or not, small batch cassette production is pretty common these days among small-to-micro labels and artists who self-release in experimental, ambient, noise and other electronic

Personally, I tend to lose count once a movie goes past around, say, 1700 or so effects. Not sure I'll notice the difference.

If the story is good the effects don't matter, right? That's exactly why it's cool that Joss is inhabiting this realm for a bit. Also, lets not pretend like Buffy, or anything else he's done for that matter, was free of effects or that he wouldn't have done them better if he had the budget.

The whole "everything that happened on the island really happened explanation" is nice, but it doesn't really work. Then again, whether or not it was purgatory, everything that happens on the island doesn't really make sense. Not if you try to thoughtfully reason it out. That's why they've gone with the strange

No, see… it's not about the questions that Lost didn't answer. It's about that fact that it ended in church with a majority of the cast walking off into a "white light", thereby rendering large portions of the show as clearly related to faith, spirituality and religion when the creators and writers repeatedly said

Oh I like that!

Great read. Maybe my favorite random roles so far just for his pure honesty. And he may not think of himself as a "smart" man, but the guy clearly has an incredible memory. Probably helps with remembering his lines and such.

I have nothing witty to say here, just want to make clear that this movie isn't very good. Besides Rickman, who I could watch do pretty much anything on screen, the movie is boring and somewhat pointless. Other than the fact that Kristal didn't pay his bills, there's not enough time spent on any one aspect of the

HATED the end of Angel. I can't even re-watch the series because I know that's how it's going to end. One of the biggest television viewing disappointments of my life.

Yes, yes, yes. I was going to mention this as well. And I with you completely about it's impact on TNG movies, although I could easily have just adjusted the time in my head and believed All Good Things… happened latter. TNG FINALE was much better, but I think the final SEASON of Deep Space Nine is one of the best in

Seriously, I NEVER thought I would care about a bunch of muscle bound, oiled up, often naked men as much as I did the cast of that show. I think all four seasons ended up working perfectly and the run up to the end of the last season was emotionally brilliant. They just kept ratcheting everything tighter and tighter,
