If anything, I'm surprised that only 16% said they would do this. I've had similar hypothetical discussions with girlfriends and almost all of us said we would give up a year or two to never have to worry about weight. I think some of us have already spent that year or two at the gym.

Personally, reading (especially fiction) tends to be a lot more escapist and distracting than music. It's hard to stew in your own problems when you're reading someone else's. Music, on the other hand, is perfect for wallowing.
