We can simply look at the numbers Nintendo releases. For the most recent quarter, they report 2.95 million 3DS games shipped versus 17.96 million for Switch. Their forecast for this full year is 16m 3DS, 100m Switch.

Just looking at a system’s install base is bad business. It doesn’t matter that 70 million 3DSes are out in the wild if 60 million of them are gathering dust in desks and closets, and the other 10 million are only used for Pokemon. Jason, I have the same perspective as you on this subject. When I mentioned how upset I was that Persona Q2 was not for the switch on reddit, I was downvoted to an oblivion. This is why I can’t stand fandom of any kind because it throws logic out the window and rely solely on emotions.
