Yeah in a more urban setting where trains are on their own tracks I’d bet their are less delays. Get into the mid west or the south and its a whole different ball game. Cargo is king in those areas. Not to mention that their are a lot more bus stations or pick up points than train when you get out west. 

If you aren’t gonna fly take a bus option where available. Any passenger rail based option is at best a 5th concern for routing priority in the US. Rail traffic planning in the US prioritizes cargo over passenger and bulk liquids over everything. A bus can change its actual route to deal with problems with ease.

I hate to say that their are fans in every sport that feel like the players owe them something. People live vicariously via these players and take it very personally when their player is criticized and even worse when the ride come to an end early.
