I’ve scrolled through this trailer several times in the past week or so and this is the first time I noticed it had anything pinball-like in it after you mentioned it.

Oh it could be a lot worse. There used to be video of BF3/4 at the start where if you aimed down sight, and exploited it by doing it rapidly it would snap to an enemy person running all the way around you full sprint. CoD has been similar.

BC2 was great without aim assist, and it even had massive bullet drop.  A much slower game though, and I miss that.
