That analogy doesnt really work, Batman appearing in Detective comics is Batman whether drawn by Jim Lee or Dustin Nguyen its the same guy, where as 2 actors playing the same character in 2 different media interpretations simultaneously is not the same

Agreed, Marvel have one clear universe where everything connects. DC has its films, some shows (Arrow/Flash etc) and other shows (Gotham) which are all separate for unclear reasons. I'm enjoying the Flash but the fact the Flash will be played in the film by another actor makes no logical sense!
