Some SLR's are catching up now, but if there's some kinda limit on HDV quality, someone forgot to tell Canon. I get zero artifacts…

There is nothing wrong with it's interface. Just something wrong with the whiney person making a big deal of the fact they haven't figured out how to use it yet. It's a "learning" interface.

That 1080 isn't a far cry from my Canon AH X1s. It's more like a lightyear's hysteria. How can you pass that off as anything better than 480 if you can see HUGE blocks of uncompressed pixels? The audio is aiight.. but I'll stick to the Canon. It's pocket sized if you have pockets deep enough to pay for it.
