If you want Barack to do more, clearly you aren't familiar with his energy policy. But you were explicitly political trying to hand failures of Barack to Bush. Some of us in this discussion are old enough to know this financial problem spans over several decades, and that it's not Bush's fault; however, spinning it

@Marvin Barnes' Time Machine: Your answer seems defensive. If you're implying that the previous admin is responsible for some kinda hole in the energy thing, you didn't read my post at all. Technologies that democrats campaigned on during the Bush administration = THEY [the democrats] are blocking and even still

@Marvin Barnes' Time Machine: Because the clean energy campaigns that democrats used as a platform for election... are the same democrats blocking the legislation. Feinstein and others are blocking clean energy installations that would cut dependence on foreign oil with the whole NIMBY thing. How can you support it

@ItsMeMasih: OH NOES! (Encircles himself with flour and summons the Watcher)

@walkejos: I hate to be blunt, but Apple's move doesn't affect you at all. You use your old one as a stand alone music player. That leaves a video port available for the new Apple TV, and your old one can continue having built-in storage and being a music player.

Apple is building a bigger data center than FaceBook is. Zuckerberg just has disk envy.

I can't wait to install this one on a few dozen machines. Hopefully it's not going to require 2 dozen DVDs to install or that there's a mass deployment solution available that doesn't require me to show up in person with keyed discs, dongles or license servers to do it. I'm not expecting their license verification

Not to be confused with Lederhosen frost.

@MazdaMania: OMG, you have to look up dayjoborchestra on youtube. Specifically... DJO - Fish Cream. at 1:33, there's a lively discussion between commanders about the all-white "future" design. Be careful, though. Once you see dayjob orchestra, you'll be faxing apple juice to everyone you know.

@Say Waaah?: Sadly, no. The whole display fits neatly onto only part of the head of a pin. Far too small for even dust mites to view comfortably.

@Necroscope: Does carbon fiber even have a radar signature? It contains nothing that would reflect radio waves? It's polyester resin and carbon strands You can't avoid moving parts in the generator, but you could make blades (that move) that are transparent to radar.

...so that the bike gets a better night's sleep than you will.

Now playing

There are people who did a much better job at illustrating this point... and without having to swear for emphasis... but Myrhvold is right. It's just not the whole story because failure doesn't occur until you GIVE UP. He's just repeating what Thomas Edison eloquently stated, "I haven't failed, I've just found

Make the whole damn thing from carbon fiber. Problem solved + efficiency doubles.

@EvilOne: This. This is the correct answer.

Oh this is soooo full of win! I have to see this in action. By far the most vehicle in either the marina or being pulled down the street. Should be towed by none other than Optimus Prime.

@Nitemancometh: Holy carp! I just saw a video of barack advertising [a certain government healthcare website] on TV, and he was using a Unibody MacBook Pro. Now I know he's trying too hard to be liked. We all know he's a PC. Besides, Blackberries don't easily sync with Macs without installing BDM (which was just

@bazookafox: Less of a hassle than finding washer/dryer hookups inside your dorm room!
