American society has always gone by the 1% rule. More power to her for embracing both sides of her family, but seeing how even the white side of her family treated her (plus the other racist vitriol directed at her), it’s not us forcing blackness, but were just more embracing of her than others have been.

I’m going by how she identifies herself.. from my experience, folks of black & white parentage who find intellectual & technical exercises to avoid a black identity, usually want to wave bye-bye. I think its their right, i just wish we’d let them go.
