It still blows my mind that they let Ubisoft do the Mario + Rabbids games.

Everyone is saying that Illumination is the worst studio to adapt a Zelda movie, but if you stop and think about for even a minute, you’ll see that they are actually the perfect studio to do it. For one simple reason: Nintendo are control freaks.
Diablo 1 and 2 will still be playable long after 3 and 4 cease to be.
This kind of thing shouldn’t be legal. Like, sure, businesses “should” be able to write off loses (debatable, whatever), but this kind of thing is so incredibly and obviously anti-consumer, it should be specifically disallowed.
Sadly, this is what happens when studios and media companies are run by investor-minded Wall Street types, MBAs, hedge fund managers, etc. Big entertainment in the US has always been run by ambitious, greedy types, but I get the impression that many of those (especially in the formative years) actually liked or even lo…
Either that or if you want to exploit this tactic, the copyright should revert to the creator, or the work should go into the public domain.
One has to wonder how this process works. If removing content, content that has already contributed to the financial growth of a streaming service, can financially benefit a studio/provider, then all studios can start pulling all sorts of past content from wherever and claim write-offs? Start locking away content and…
I watched it before Crisis on Infinite Earths. The tone was...odd, for the Flash, definitely strongly influenced by the ‘89 Batman, but it was generally fairly solid. Wesley Shipp is great, and frustratingly it really started to hit its stride by the end. The two Trickster episodes are genuinely brilliant. It looked…
Funny enough, that’s probably it. Ezra Miller is, shall we say, far from popular after the last couple years, plus more people recognize Grant as the flash from the TV show, so that’s probably exactly why.
My friends kid call’s the TV Flash “The Flash” and calls Ezra Miller’s character “The Iron-Man Flash” which I find hilarious.
I still think if DC wants to continue Flash on film Grant is right fucking there, drop Ezra.
They don’t want the audience going “Oh, there’s the Flash! Who is this unrecognizable character Ezra Miller is playing?”
Its not like the writer has any control over the website or the ads.
Don’t look at the scores of movie critics. Read the review. If you know *why* a particular review liked or didn’t like a movie, you can usually figure out whether or not you would, no matter whether or not you agree.
Just read actual reviews by movie critics or even your favorite Youtube streamer. Still likely a better gauge than randos posting 0 ratings on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes.
Just retire the OT already. Disney could’ve KOTOR’d this whole thing and created a whole new and distinct saga a millennia apart from the first story. Star Wars could’ve been a proper anthology, but nooooo, we gotta keep dragging nostalgia into this because Rogue One or some such.
“You can’t choose the people you work with.”
Somehow he looks even more like a corporate ghoul while giving the speech than in the header image.
I reckon we get AIs to replace the role of CEO more easily than that of a writer.
Kinda don’t wanna know people that didn’t cry during at least some part of Rocket’s origin story. Cuz they just ain’t right.
