Just a straight up co-op game would have been great. It’s the loot shooter shit that really sours this.   

even if all 4 characters playing exactly the same wasn’t an issue, i don’t understand why the core mechanic involves essentially flying on top of everyone like that...it looks like a boring (and cheap!) arena shooter.

I just watched the video and yea...what the heck were the developers thinking here? I know this is a Suicide Squad game but I kind of wish it had Green Arrow so I could see if he would also be shooting a machine gun.

Yeah, the looter shooter stuff from The Avengers was really boring, but at least every character had a unique play style. I really enjoyed trying out all of them.  If there aren't some really differences between the characters here that's a waste.

I bought the game full price and regret it big time. I found it pretty boring, and the whole game just felt like an open world map leading to a load screen and instanced buildings.

The move speed is fine, but that heal nerf is really awful. Her whole strength is that shes a single target healer that requires her to focus a single target to be effective. Taking that away makes her pointless to use compared to characters like Lucio, or Moira, or even Anna.
