After seeing this hive five I downloaded RocketDock, ObjectDock, Samurize, Rainmeter, Sysmetrix and EmergeDesktop, installed them and tried them all out.

Firefox, foobar2000, DropBox, FolderShare, F.A.R.R (Find And Retrieve Robot), LogMeIn, IrfanView and all the Google apps.

I agree it would be of greater benefit to improve your self discipline, but the bookmarklet may act as baby steps for the less disciplined (myself included). If it makes you think for a sec and decide to get back to work, there's nothing wrong with it.

@xlerate: That was one of my thoughts too, and the FAQ doesn't address it. How do we know they'll still exist in a year?

@zakazaka: I'm living proof. I've never quite figured out how to neatly wrap cable. Thanks for the post Adam!

@brain242: Ditto. And TaskSwitch is only using 948K of memory, so it's no hog either.

@pgk2008: Thanks for the link to 5.5! I had downloaded 5.0.0.2 and thought it was the latest I could get.

Perfect for me too. Quick and easy to start a timer, save previous ones, and it even minimizes to the tray.

I've had a Microsoft Natural Elite for years at both home and work. The tiny arrow keys and misplaced insert and delete keys took some getting used to, but I don't even think about it now.

The interface is great, but I'm not a big fan of Yahoo Widgets. Does anyone know of a similar standalone windows app?

I upgraded the version of Rockbox on my Sansa e200 yesterday, after not having touched it for 6 months.

I've used the Logitech MarbleMouse trackball at home and work for over 5 years. I'm left handed and this is one of the few hand-agnostic trackballs I've found. It's comfortable and works well. The only thing I miss is an easy way to scroll up and down. Other trackballs have scroll wheels, but they're for right

@Git Em SteveDave: I use a similar solution. I use a random answer that makes me laugh at the time I fill it out.

Nth all the comments about the oversized headers at the top. I thought it wasn't rendering properly when I first saw it.

I was a big fan (and evangelizer) of Launchy, then switched to FARR after reading about it on the Hive Five launcher comparison. Executor worked but I'm sticking with FARR. I love not having to refresh indexes. With FARR it's live all the time, yet it's still fast. Memory usage is higher than Launchy and Executor,

I nth the idea for stand-up meetings. They make everyone want to finish the meeting quickly and take care of the agenda (there is a clear agenda, right?)

VOTE: Windows Desktop Search 3.01

@thellon0 I like this too but have switched from Fuelfrog because I think Fuelly is prettier :)
