When I was shopping for my NC, I test-drove a PRHT version of the Miata and briefly considered it as an alternative.

While not the worst convertible out there, the Smart ForTwo certainly seems rather silly.

Actually, I had heard that the new Miata should incorporate a whole slew of SkyActiv technologies, including the possibility of a smaller more fuel efficient engine (there were guesses at it being a 1.6L turboed plant, making close to the 167HP of the current MZR.)
