You did a great job setting up the bare basics for someone walking in fresh, but I have to wonder, how well/not clunky will the set up all that exposition at the beginning? I guess the have rereleased the games about 3 time now, so everyone should just play them.

The presentation of all this info really deflated the hype significantly. Add to that that they showed roughly the same area and only two basic outlines of the four classes, I’m not optimistic about it being out in Feb. Not that I want to be right, but for the flagship IP it should have been stronger.

And that’s fair! Which is why, as a PS4/PC player, seeing Fortnite compared to a game that is more comparable to PUBG is strange (since ‘jarring’ was too much) for me.

The point here is that, while the article is specifically aimed at ps4 owners who are tired of/looking for an alternative to Fortnite, it’s obvious that H1Z1 is closer to PUBG and less “Fortnite without building”.

So what’s the point of changing skin tone, eye, and hair color to where it might as well be new individuals?

Of course people aren’t anime characters. But you’re telling me the pink-haired character even remotely resembles the subject? Hence, why it’s more of a transplant of images than a real interpretation.

It’s interesting, but I’m not sure what the benefit is. I would be more impressed if it created a more faithful representation, rather than as OP said, a photoshop facsimile. 

I found the first Tomb Raider reboot interesting, but had a painfully dull cast of characters, and didn’t quite enjoy Lara’s arc.

Each Uncharted game, on the other hand, improves upon the last with it’s cast, and 4 in particular told a great narrative, while expanding the gameplay to fill out the experience.
