it shouldn’t... it’s been awhile since I’ve worked on an inkjet, but I know for sure laser’s do not, but i believe the inkjets cycle through the print head cleaning when the printer starts up by the print head moving side to side and it purges a little air through the inlets. I could be thinking of older models…
