A moron who’s gotten away with this behavior his whole life bc he’s a star athlete.

“how to make a week’s worth of meals with one bologna loaf”

Exactly what I’ve always thought. Lords of Salem showed some growth as a filmmaker and it really seems like it bombing sent him into retreat mode. He’s kind of like the horror version of Kevin Smith now. Could also be that he’s hit that spot that Broken Lizard is in where he’s not getting any financing unless he’s

I am on your wavelength, TaumpyTears (great name, btw.) I saw House of 1000 Corpses on the big screen and left it thinking “That wasn’t GOOD, but he has style. There’s SOMETHING there that he can build on.” Devil’s Rejects felt like another step forward. Still couldn’t say it was GOOD, but there was a nugget of style

My wife and I still occasionally watch House of 1000 Corpses around Halloween in between the really fucked up or scary stuff because its more of a violent funhouse ride (or a Murder Ride like they actually have in the movie). I appreciated the grimy nastiness of The Devil’s Rejects but haven’t really felt the need to

even when covered in Fire sauce

Can I get a star from my fellow syrup-on-egg people?

Snickers is the clear winner, maybe not frozen but cold out the fridge.

I agree. I thought It Chapter 2 was an excellent horror film.

I agree. I think it played well into the “adult fear” genre and magnified the feelings of helplessness and hopelessness that can grip you different as an adult vs as a child.

I was a big fan of Yoshi’s Island, but I’d never put it above Mario World. That game pretty much perfected Mario and is absolutely timeless. It just had a purity to its enjoyment. Hell I just got my wife to start playing it and she’s extremely picky about what games she’ll play with me (basically just overcooked).

Worth noting that Gargoyle’s Quest 2 was a direct sequel on NES. Great game!

Edit: Direct sequel to the gameboy game; prequel to Demon’s Crest

My favorite WTF adaptation of King’s is Dreamcatcher, where they actually stayed faithful, beat-for-beat, to King’s batcrap crazy story, to batcrap crazy effect.  Worth reading, worth watching, there’s just so much to unpack in it.

There’s also Dreamcatchers, which is worth viewing if only because Morgan Freeman says “Shit-Weasel” with a straight face.

Yeah, that article is worse than Friends ever was.

DC Cab was the 1st film/time ever that I saw boobs. Thank you Joel Schumacher I owe you debt.

I was blown away by Channel Zero. I even got my not-a-lover-of-horror wife into it.

This is good. I like the series so far. I liked SyFy’s Channel Zero much better, as it had a more unique horror vibe going, but it was cancelled, so I’ll take what I can get.

That Mexican lager is tasty.

Trombino
They didn't have a falling out with him. They recorded a bunch of material that was underwhelming, so the band decided that they wanted to scrap what they had done and start fresh. But because of the time involved in giving it a second go, it created a schedule conflict for Trombino. It was for the best
